Straighten your teeth with clear aligners - Invisalign in Thunder Bay

Clear Aligner Orthodontic Treatment- Invisalign®

Invisalign is a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners created for you. These literally invisible plastics are worn over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place. The final position of your teeth is designed on a computer and the aligners are 3D printed individually. These aligners are made of a smooth, comfortable, BPA-free plastic that won't irritate your cheeks and gums like traditional metal braces often do. Simply wear them throughout the day, and remove them when you eat or to brush and floss your teeth.

Approximately every two weeks, you will begin wearing a new set of aligners, advancing you to the next stage of your treatment. To monitor your progress, you will also have occasional checkups with your dentist.

While every case is unique to each patient, treatment typically takes approximately a year for adults, if you wear you aligner 20-22 hours/day.

At Scott Family Dental our dental specialists use an intraoral 3D scanner to digitize your teeth, your files will be sent to Invisalign directly.

  • Computer Designed Restorations: Most of the restorations are CAD-CAM fabricated and are designed on the computer screen. Crowns and bridges are milled using a 5 axis dry mill or a 3/4 axis wet mill depending on the material we use. Most of the restorations are metal free- porcelain or zirconia crowns. These are much more tissue friendly and bio-compatible.
