A Thunder Bay Dental Family
Our story began in 1980 when Drs. Gail and Brian Scott started the Scott Family Dental practice. Dr. Gail is born and raised in Thunder Bay and decided to move back with Brian after they completed dental school in Toronto. The practice has been serving the Thunder Bay community ever since. Dr. Gail retired from dentistry in 2016, the same year her daughter Donna finished her dental school. Dr. Donna started working in the practice in 2019 after her prosthodontic specialty training in Buffalo, NY. Together, with her husband Dr. Gyula Forgo, represent the second generation of the dentists of the Scott Family Dental centre.
Donna Scott, DDS, MS, FRCD(C)
Dr. Donna is from Thunder Bay and is happy to be back providing a wide array of dental services to the community. She is passionate about restoring confidence in patient’s smiles through the various techniques learned in her specialty training. Her academic training includes:

Gyula Forgo, DMD, MS, FRCD(C)
Dr. Forgo grew up in Budapest, Hungary and moved to Thunder Bay with his wife Donna in 2019.
His hobbies are playing tennis, listening to music and outdoor activities.

Daniel Stavroullakis, DDS
Dr. Daniel is from Toronto and has been close to the Scott family for as long as he can remember. He has greatly enjoyed the move to Thunder Bay and is passionate about providing high quality, evidence-based dental care with kindness and compassion. His hobbies include cooking, playing the violin, and gaming.

Erika, RDH
Erika grew up in Thunder Bay, where she completed her dental assisting at the Confederation College in 2000.
She then moved to Vancouver, BC for 7 years and worked as a dental assistant.
Pursuing her education she then completed a dental hygiene program (RDH) in Toronto in 2008.
Erika moved back to Thunder Bay in 2010 and enjoys cooking, camping and keeps busy with 2 children that are active in sports.
Miranda, RDH
Born and raised on the outskirts of Thunder Bay in Lappe, ON. Miranda completed her dental hygiene diploma at Confederation College.
She joined the Scot Family Dental team in 2020.
During the summer you will find her at her family camp on Oliver lake. She enjoys being active and enjoying the outdoors by fishing, hiking with her dogs, horse back riding and snowshoeing.
She is happy to be a part of the Scott Family Dental team and to work with patients to achieve their oral health goals.
Subin, RDH
Subin was born and raised in Seuol, South Korea, and moved to Thunder Bay to complete the dental hygiene program at Confederation College.
She joined Scott Family Dental in 2022 right after finishing her training in Thunder Bay.
In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors that the city can offer, as well as cooking and travelling.

Alex
Alex is a certified level II dental assistant and was born and raised in Dryden, ON.
She graduated the dental assisting program at Confederation College with honours in June 2011. Since then she has been working at Scott Family Dental.
She enjoys spending her free time with her children and family and baking.

Amber
Amber has lived her entire life in Thunder Bay. After attending Hillcrest High School, she enjoyed working as a dietary aid. While working in the field she realized that she enjoyed working with people and sharing her knowledge of nutrition to their benefit. Recently Amber joined Scott Family Dental to train to become a dental assistant. She has found it interesting and rewarding to assist the dentists and make the patients feel welcome and comfortable.

exclaimed Amber. During her leisure time, Amber loves cooking at home, camping, fishing and and spending time with her two amazing boys. Another hobby of hers is refurbishing old furniture and other arts and crafts.
Denise
Denise is a certified Level II dental assistant and was born and raised in Thunder Bay.
She graduated the dental assisting program at Confederation College with honors.

Debbie
Debbie was born in Lakefield, Ontario and moved to Geraldton in 1963 where she resided for the next 40 years. During that time Debbie gained extensive receptionist experience. A few years after moving to Thunder Bay, Debbie joined the Scott Family Dental team in 2012 to provide her expertise at our office.
“This position has been very fulfilling by being able to gain extensive dental knowledge and being able to communicate with the patients.” “It is very rewarding to inform our patients about how important oral health is to having great health.”
“When I was younger, I never had that experience, and it sure would have made a difference in the caring of my teeth” explained Debbie. In her leisure time, camping, aquatics, knitting, and sewing are some of her favourite activities. She cherishes spending time with her grandchildren and family. Debbie also finds it relaxing and refreshing to take her dog, Piper for walks. Debbie looks forward to greeting you at Scott Family Dental.
Rae
Rae was born and raised in Chatham. She studied in the health sciences field at Conestoga College in Kitchener.
Upon graduation, Rae moved to Thunder Bay where she worked with and supported senior citizens in a long term care facility.
In 2018, Rae decided to join the Scott Family Dental Team. In her leisure time, Rae enjoys cooking, practising yoga, and crocheting. She also loves animals, especially her dog and two cats.
Rae looks forward to greeting you at Scott Family Dental in the not too distant future.
Rachel
Rachel is originally from Brampton, Ontario and moved to Thunder Bay in 2010 to attend Lakehead University. Upon graduating, Rachel sought out administrative opportunities at the university where she worked in Residence and Conference Services. After that she transitioned into dental administration work. Rachel loves the city of Thunder Bay and especially the summer, when she can enjoy campfires with friends at her camp on Lake Superior.
Rachel joined the Scott Family Dental team in 2019. Scheduling and coordinating treatment are Rachel’s favorite parts of the job, to ensure every client’s needs are met. Rachel looks forward to greeting you at Scott Family Dental for your next appointment.
Chris
Calling Thunder Bay home, Chris was born and raised here in Thunder Bay.
She graduated from College with a Business Administration Diploma.
Chris enjoys Camping, outdoor activities and spending time with her family. She keeps busy with her 2 kids that are active in sports.
Chris enjoys working with people and looks forward to greeting you at your appointments.
